Every Oreck vacuum is constructed using a simple design that ensures the amount of plastic materials used is kept to a minimum; this also helps our vacuums to be the lightest around! We are so confident in the durability of this design that the casing comes with a 10 year warranty.
Our XL upright range is designed to be repairable so if you do have a problem simply call our friendly customer service team and, if it's not a part that you can replace yourself, our repair team, or your local service dealer, will put things right. Wear and tear through time is inevitable but we are so confident about the quality of our upright vacuums that we offer up to 10 years parts and labour warranty. That's 10 years peace of mind! *

Our upright range is well known for its powerful cleaning. But powerful cleaning doesn't have to mean higher energy use. Our specially designed roller brush (double helix design and soft crimped brushes) revolves at over 5000RPM, lifting deeply embedded dirt from carpets and floors which is then sucked up and into the top of the vacuum bag. The Oreck system means that new dirt doesn't have to push up through the old dirt already trapped in the bottom of the bag thus requiring less energy use. This winning combination of a high quality brush, suction and top-fill design means that we can use a smaller motor without loss of performance. And this is where you'll notice the biggest eco-friendly benefit of all. Our XL models cost up to five times less to run then most competitor models, using around only 350 to 400 watts compared to an industry standard of around 2000 watts. So you see, a smaller motor doesn't result in less cleaning power!
All of our uprights bag systems offer a massive 10.32 litre capacity making them twice the size of most other vacuum bags and five times the size of a container on most 'bagless' cleaners. This ensures less waste, as you replace your dust bag less frequently, benefiting the environment and the wallet too!
